Janet Holt saved our agency!
To whom it may concern:
I write this letter to bring to your attention the actions and character of Ms. Janet Holt. She saved our combat veterans advocacy agency and has
allowed us to continue our successful fight in stopping veterans suicide.
More specifically, changes to IRS laws had made it impossible for our agency to submit the required annual 990 filings unless it was done by an authorized tax filing service or CPA. Until that year, we had done them ourselves, which saved us thousands of donor dollars. As a result of the changes to the IRS laws, we had contemplated shuttering our agency out of frustration with the new regulations that would take away precious donor dollars that had been directed to our programs and services for our combat veterans. Then, Ms. Janet offered to do ours for free for a year.
Ms. Janet essentially saved our agency and the veterans’ lives we’ve impacted over these last several years since Ms. Janet began donating her services and time and providing professional services at a fraction of commensurate rates.
